How to do an allergy patch test:
- Apply a small amount of the product on the patch of skin at the back of your ear. This area resembles the skin on your face.
- Leave the product on for 24 hours.
- Monitor the area. If the area does not experience itching, redness, blisters or any signs of allergy, this indicates that the product is safe for your facial use.

[-] If no signs of allergy occur after testing but breakouts occur: Using a new product on your skin can usually cause skin to break out. If your skin continues to break out after two weeks of use, you may want to check with your dermatologist or try our other products to find one that’s best suited for your skin.

Oxecure chooses to use ingredients that have been proven to be highly effective for controlling acne, such as Salicylic Acid and Sulfur. These ingredients are of synthetic origin. Oxecure also contains natural ingredient extracts such as Aloe Vera Extract, Witch Hazel Extract and Jojoba Oil to nourish the skin, making our products gentle on skin but effective on pimples.

Oxecure products have passed general safety standards, and do not contain the following ingredients which may be dangerous to your baby: Differin (adapelene) / Retin-A, Renova (tretinoin) / Retinoic acid / Retinol / Retinyl linoleate / Retinyl palmitate / Tazorac and avage (Tazarotene) / Beta hydroxy acid. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women may still want to consult their doctors especially if they have existing health concerns as some might not allow their patients to use skincare products that contain BHA/Salicylic Acid or other ingredients.

You may be experiencing skin purging, which is a process where your skin breaks out when you try a new product. This usually happens with acne control products which increase cell turnover rate and cause early-stage pimples to manifest faster. Therefore, if you have clogged pores, they might mature into pimples, and if you have small pimples or acne, they may turn into large ones. The products push all those hidden comedones to the skin surface.

These skin issues are not new – they were already present before you started using the product. Once the product actually starts working, the severity of the issues will reduce, and your skin will start to clear up.

If your pimples appear in places where they usually occur, it most probably is skin purging. Skin purging usually takes 4-6 weeks depending on your cell renewal cycle (from exfoliating dead skin cells to having new skin cells replace them). This is not uncommon when using new products. If you do decide to undergo this process, do take extra care of your skin until your fresh skin cells are exposed, revealing clearer and smoother skin. You may also try reducing your frequency until your skin gets used to the new product, and then slowly start using it more regularly once your skin gets past the purging stage.

However, if acne is formed in new areas of your skin or if it does not get better in 6-8 weeks, you may be having a negative reaction to the product and we recommend to stop usage. If you are unsure, we recommend consulting your dermatologist so she can examine your skin and give you a recommendation that’s most suited to your particular situation.

You can find the expiry dates and manufacturing dates behind or at the bottom of the product, stamped as “MFG dd/mm/yyyy” and “EXP dd/mm/yyyy”.

Normally, unopened products have a shelf life of three years after the MFG Date (found at the back or bottom of the product pack) under normal temperatures. This means no exposure to direct sunlight and extreme heat or cold temperatures for a long period of time. After opening, the product can last up to 12 months with proper storage.

For complete control of acne, here is our recommended Oxecure regimen:

STEP 1 CLEANSE
–Use Sulfur Soap day and night for oily and acne prone skin. (For face and body)
–Use Facial Liquid cleanser day and night for sensitive, normal, or dry skin. (For face)
*if you have both products, we recommend using the Facial Liquid Cleanser in the morning and the Sulfur Soap at night

STEP 2 DEFEND AND NOURISH
–Use Acne Clear Potion at night as a spot treatment, leave on for 6-12 hours.
–Alternatively, you can use the Acne Clear Powder Mud. This doubles as both a spot treatment (use daily, as needed) or as a mask for the whole face (use up to 2x a week). Leave on for 6 hrs.
–Use Body Acne Spray day and night on affected areas. Do not rinse off.

Yes, all Oxecure products are non-comedogenic and are not likely to cause pore blockage and breakouts.
